My opinions on DP Pairings, canon or otherwise.

Originally, this section was was explanation as to why I dislike DxS, but I decided to change it to have my opinion on general pairings of the DP world, canon or crack.

DannyxOC: This one is pretty obvious. I love any pairing of this to death. Why? Well, because I think DxS is too cliche, too predictable, and just plain wrong. Some DxS supporters/DxOC haters may say the same thing about this pairing, it's only because they don't see it like I do. I've always felt that Sam wasn't right for Danny, and almost any OC would've been a better choice, if they were made right. With an OC, you have control. You can dictate how your OC interacts with the canon characters, and based on their personalities and the actual storyline, mold them carefully on how she and Danny become a couple. You could start anywhere, from before the accident, to the middle of the series, to even after Phantom Planet. The possibilities are endless. In short words, it's a hell of a lot more fun than DxS, where the plot is already there for you and doesn't give you much room to imagine. And no, I'm not saying DxOC supporters are better than DxS supporters, I'm simply stating that as OC creators, we have more room for imagination and can broaden it as we please, because we choose not to follow canon and think of our own versions.

DannyxSam: As I've stated, I think DxS is too cliche, and too predictable. Not to mention there are huge flaws within the pairing itself, and both sides within it. Sam's and Danny's personalities clash badly. For one thing, Sam is mature and very outspoken, not to mention a bit controlling, or at least tries to get things her way. While Danny, he's immature and a carefree spirit. It seems as if Sam would control his actions and not let him have any breathing space. In many episodes she has tried to get him perform actions with his ghost powers that he never wanted to do, or even scolds him when he tries to do his own thing. (anyone recall the "your powers make you unique" line she said to him in Mystery Meat, but then contradicted this statement in many episodes when she was unhappy with a LOT of things he does, even if it wasn't any of her business?) In my opinion, season one and two had a few decent moments between the two, moments that if given time, maybe even I would've liked. However, season 3 ruined that chance. New writers to the team caused Sam to become a canon!sue, who had to be right about everything all the time, and always had the right answers at the right times. God FORBID Sam was wrong in at least ONE episode! Also, Danny became stupid, and seemed to rely on whatever Sam said to resolve whatever conflict in whatever episode. In short, season 3 basically butchered any hopes of having this pairing becoming a golden one, so in turn, made me dislike it even more.

DannyxValerie: Must I get into this one? Well, it would've been an okay couple in my book, except a few things. Valerie's undying vengeance on ghosts obviously ruined any chance of these two becoming a permanent couple. I honestly liked the idea of it, showing that Danny could date anyone and really filled in a previously hollow character. But again, it was her idea of destroying all ghosts that turned me off from this pairing. I kinda get the feeling that she would've destroyed Danny if she found out about his secret sooner than Phantom Planet.

DannyxPaulina: Some people may think this is a good pairing, but I don't. Paulina clearly showed in Parental Bonding that she was only dating Danny just to try and make Sam jealous. Also, she only started to like him in Reality Trip because he was revealed to be Danny Phantom. She had no interest in him before. And poor Danny was too clueless to realize it.

FentonxPhantom: Self-cest, really?

Why on Earth would Danny be in love with himself?

Sorry for my brief semi-disappearance folks, I went down to South Jersey on Saturday and I just got back home today. Yeah, I lied when I said I was gonna post more pics the day after I posted my most recent, but only because I ended up being out all day when I wasn't intending to

BUT anyway, Jersey was fun. We went down due to the fact that my cousin was getting married. It was the second wedding I've ever been to, and I CAUGHT THE BOUQUET

After the wedding, we stayed at my aunt's house. We went cemetery hopping because my mom's doing ancestry digging. I can't tell you how many relatives, close and distant, are buried down there. HUNDREDS. I really mean it, hundreds.

Yesterday my mom and I went to Washington, DC. I've been to DC plenty of times before but this time we went to the National Archives, one of the few places I haven't been. We got to see the original Constitution, Bill of Rights, And the Declaration of Independence. It was pretty kick-ass. Then we went back to my aunt's, and finally left today.

I just got home about a half hour ago, and I'm so glad to be back on my laptop. I was short of entertainment for a while D:
